1. Who we are

Landmark Flooring ("Landmark Flooring," "we," "us," or "our") is a flooring retailer and installation company serving Carson City, Reno, Minden/Gardnerville, Lake Tahoe and the surrounding Northern Nevada communities. Our showroom is located at 2085 East William Street, Suite 10, Carson City, NV 89701.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through landmarkflooringusa.com (the "Site"), by phone, by text message, and in our showroom — and what we do with it. It applies to everyone who contacts us or uses the Site.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us directly

  • Contact details — your name, email address, mobile or landline phone number, and service address.
  • Project details — anything you tell us about your flooring job: room measurements, the products you're considering, timelines, budget range, photos you send us, and the contents of any message you submit through our forms.
  • Communication preferences — whether you have opted in to text messages, and whether you have opted in to promotional messages.
  • Financing inquiries — if you ask about financing, we will direct you to our third-party financing partner. You submit your credit application directly to that lender, not to us. We do not collect, receive or store your Social Security number, credit report or bank account details.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view on our Site and how long you spend on them.
  • Approximate location — a general region (such as city or metro area) derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location from the Site.

In plain English We ask for the minimum we need to measure, quote and install your floor — and our website keeps basic visit statistics so we know which pages are useful.

What we do not collect

  • We do not collect Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, or financial account numbers through this Site.
  • We do not collect sensitive categories such as health information, biometric data, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, or union membership.
  • We do not knowingly collect any information from children (see Section 12).

3. How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

  • Respond to your questions, quote requests and messages;
  • Measure, estimate, schedule, install and warranty your flooring project;
  • Coordinate with you about appointments, deliveries, crews and job status;
  • Process payments and keep business records required by law;
  • Send you promotional offers, seasonal sales and new product news — only if you have separately opted in;
  • Understand how visitors find and use our Site so we can improve it;
  • Protect the Site against fraud, spam and abuse, and comply with our legal obligations.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you, and we do not profile you for such purposes.

4. Text messaging (SMS) & mobile data

This section explains our text messaging program in detail. It applies whenever you give Landmark Flooring your mobile number and agree to receive texts.

Consent is opt-in and always optional

We only send text messages to people who have asked to receive them. You may opt in by checking the SMS consent box on a form on our Site, by texting us first, or by giving your written or verbal consent to a Landmark Flooring team member in our showroom or on a job site.

Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of purchasing any product or service from us. You can work with Landmark Flooring without ever receiving a text. Promotional text consent is collected separately from customer-care text consent, and you may accept one without accepting the other.

What we send

  • Customer care messages: replies to your inquiry, estimate and quote confirmations, appointment and measurement reminders, installation scheduling, delivery and crew-arrival notices, and job status updates. Message frequency varies based on your project and your conversation with us.
  • Promotional messages (separate opt-in): sales, seasonal offers and new product announcements. We send no more than 4 promotional messages per month.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Landmark Flooring does not charge for text messages, but your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data charges will apply according to your plan. Contact your carrier for details about your plan's rates.

How to opt out or get help

You can cancel at any time. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You will receive a single confirmation message, after which we will send you no further texts from that program. You can rejoin at any time by opting in again.

For assistance, reply HELP to any message, call us at (775) 297-3236, or email sales@landmarkflooringusa.com.

Delivery

Message delivery depends on your mobile carrier's network. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Our SMS program is supported on major U.S. carriers, but delivery is not guaranteed in all areas or on all devices.

Your mobile information is never shared

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Your mobile number and your SMS consent are used solely to deliver the messages you signed up for. The only parties who ever handle this data are the licensed messaging providers and mobile carriers that technically transmit the message on our behalf — and they are contractually prohibited from using it for any other purpose.

In plain English Your cell number stays with us and the carrier that delivers the text. We never sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to an advertiser. Text STOP and we stop.

5. Cookies & website tracking

Our Site is a static website. Here is exactly what runs on landmarkflooringusa.com and what each service can see:

  • Google Analytics 4 — we load Google's gtag.js script (measurement ID G-KPV3BK2621) to collect aggregate site-usage statistics: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, and roughly where they are located. It sets first-party _ga and _ga_* cookies to tell returning browsers apart. IP addresses are anonymised per Google's GA4 defaults, and we use the data only in aggregate to improve the Site. See the Google Privacy Policy; you can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Google Fonts — the Site's typeface is fetched from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com when a page loads. Google may log the IP address that requests the font files. No cookies are set by this request.
  • Google Maps — we embed a Google Map of our showroom on the Contact, Free Estimate and Carson City pages. Google may set cookies and receive your IP address when the map loads on those pages.
  • Vercel — the company that hosts the Site. Like any web host, Vercel keeps standard server request logs, which include your IP address, the page requested, and your browser type.
  • Resend — when you submit a form on the Site, Resend delivers that submission by email to Landmark Flooring staff. The contents of your submission pass through Resend solely for that delivery.
  • Supabase — the secure database where we store SMS opt-in consent records (your phone number, what you consented to, and when). This is how we keep proof of consent and honor your STOP request permanently.

What we do not run: the Site loads no advertising pixels (no Meta Pixel or similar), no retargeting tags and no cross-site tracking. Because the only cookies set are the analytics cookies described above, the Site does not display a cookie-consent banner. We do not sell or share your personal information.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Our Site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, as there is no common industry standard for them; we do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where legally required.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money. We share information only in these limited situations:

  • Service providers. Companies that run things for us — our website host, email provider, messaging provider, CRM, and payment processor. They may only use your information to perform that service for us.
  • Installation crews and suppliers. To install your floor we share the details needed to do the job — your name, service address, phone number and product selections — with the installers, freight carriers and flooring manufacturers assigned to your project.
  • Financing partners. Only if you choose to apply for financing, and only at your direction.
  • Legal and safety. When we are required to by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Landmark Flooring, our customers or the public.
  • Business transfers. If Landmark Flooring is ever sold, merged or reorganized, customer information may transfer as part of that transaction. We would notify you of any change in ownership that affects your information.

The one absolute exception: as stated in Section 4, text messaging opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category above and are never shared with any third party.

7. How long we keep it

  • Inquiries that don't become jobs: up to 3 years, so we can pick up where we left off if you come back.
  • Completed projects: at least 7 years, to support product warranties, labor warranties and required business and tax records.
  • SMS opt-in and opt-out records: retained for as long as we operate the messaging program and for a reasonable period afterward — we are required to keep proof of consent and to honor your STOP request permanently.
  • Website analytics: retained in aggregate form only.

8. How we protect it

Our Site is served over encrypted HTTPS with HSTS enabled. We limit access to customer information to the Landmark Flooring staff and service providers who need it to do their jobs, and we require our service providers to maintain appropriate safeguards.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send Social Security numbers, full credit card numbers or bank account details through our website forms, by email, or by text message.

9. Your privacy rights

Wherever you live, you may ask us to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you and how we've used it;
  • Correct information that is wrong or out of date;
  • Delete your information, subject to records we must keep for warranty, tax or legal reasons;
  • Receive a copy of your information in a portable format;
  • Opt out of marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link) or marketing texts (reply STOP);
  • Opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information — though as noted, we do not sell or share it.

To make a request, email sales@landmarkflooringusa.com or call (775) 297-3236. We will verify your identity — usually by confirming details of your project or the contact information we already have on file — and respond within 45 days. We will never discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights, and we will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you a lower quality of service.

10. Nevada residents

Under Nevada law (NRS 603A.300 – 603A.360), Nevada consumers have the right to submit a verified request directing a website operator not to sell certain covered information they have collected. Landmark Flooring does not sell your covered information and has no plans to do so. If you would like to submit a request anyway, email sales@landmarkflooringusa.com with the subject line "Nevada Opt-Out Request," and include your name and the email address or phone number associated with your inquiry. We will respond within 60 days.

11. California residents

To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) applies to us, California residents have the rights described in Section 9, including the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing, and the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information.

In the preceding 12 months we have collected the following CCPA categories: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address); customer records (service address, project details); commercial information (products purchased or quoted); and internet activity (pages viewed on our Site). We collect these for the business purposes listed in Section 3, from the sources listed in Section 2, and we disclose them only to the recipients listed in Section 6.

We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding 12 months, and we do not sell or share the personal information of minors under 16. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we will ask for proof of that authorization.

12. Children's privacy

Our Site and services are intended for adults making decisions about their home or business property. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us at sales@landmarkflooringusa.com and we will delete it promptly.

Our Site links to other websites — flooring manufacturers, our financing partner, and our social media profiles. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please read their privacy policies before giving them your information.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our business, our technology or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make a material change to how we handle your information — particularly our text messaging program — we will post a prominent notice on the Site. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.

1. Acceptance & scope

These Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and Landmark Flooring ("Landmark Flooring," "we," "us," or "our"). They apply when you visit or use landmarkflooringusa.com (the "Site"), request an estimate, purchase flooring products or installation services from us, or enroll in the Landmark Flooring Text Messaging Program.

Where a written quote, invoice or signed agreement between you and Landmark Flooring covers a specific project, that document controls for that project if it conflicts with these Terms.

3. Website use & content

Informational content

The Site is provided for general information about our products and services. Flooring descriptions, guides, comparisons, cost ranges and other content are offered in good faith but may contain errors or become out of date. Product availability, colors, specifications and manufacturer warranties can change without notice, and colors shown on screen may differ from the actual product. Nothing on the Site is a binding offer or a guarantee of price, availability or suitability for your project — see Section 4 for how pricing actually works.

Intellectual property

The Site and its content — text, images, graphics, logos, page layouts and code — are owned by Landmark Flooring or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. "Landmark Flooring" and "The Landmark Guarantee" are our trade names. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, scrape, frame or commercially exploit any part of the Site without our written permission. Manufacturer names and marks referenced on the Site belong to their respective owners.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Site to submit false, misleading or abusive information; to send spam or unsolicited commercial messages through our forms; to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its systems; to interfere with the Site's operation; or to violate any applicable law. We may block access to the Site for anyone who violates these rules.

Third-party links

The Site links to third-party websites such as flooring manufacturers, our financing partner and our social-media profiles. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.

4. Estimates & quotes

  • Free estimates are good-faith estimates. Our in-home and showroom estimates are free and are prepared in good faith based on the measurements we take and the products and options you select at the time. They are not a final price.
  • Final pricing is in the written quote. The price for your project, the products and quantities included, and any additional services (such as furniture moving, removal and disposal of old flooring, or subfloor preparation) are those stated on your written quote or invoice.
  • Quotes have an expiration. A quote is valid for the period stated on the quote. After that period, product prices and availability may change and we may need to re-quote.
  • Changes during the project. If the scope of work changes, if you change materials, or if conditions are discovered during installation that were not visible at the time of the estimate (for example, subfloor damage, moisture, unevenness, or additional layers of old flooring), the price may change. We will explain the situation and obtain your approval before proceeding with any additional work or charges.

5. Orders, deposits & payment

  • Deposits and payment terms are as stated on your written quote or invoice. Placing an order or paying a deposit confirms that you accept the quote and these Terms.
  • Special-order materials. Many flooring products are ordered from the manufacturer specifically for your project. We may require the deposit stated on your quote or invoice before placing a special order.
  • Balance. The remaining balance is due as stated on your invoice. Products remain the property of Landmark Flooring until paid in full.
  • Accepted payment methods are as stated on your quote or invoice. Returned payments and past-due balances may be subject to the charges permitted by Nevada law.
  • Financing. Financing is offered through third-party lenders such as Synchrony. Any financing is subject to that lender's credit approval, terms and conditions, and is a separate agreement between you and the lender. Landmark Flooring is not a lender and does not decide credit applications. Current offers and the lender's full disclosures are on our Financing page.

6. Scheduling, cancellation & rescheduling

  • Scheduling. Installation dates are scheduled once materials are confirmed and are subject to material arrival and installer availability. We will keep you informed if a date needs to move.
  • Cancelling or rescheduling. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us reasonable notice by calling (775) 297-3236. Any cancellation or rescheduling terms that apply to your project are as stated on your written quote or invoice.
  • Special-order materials may be non-returnable and non-refundable once ordered. Because they are ordered specifically for you, manufacturers generally do not accept them back. Any refund of a deposit for a cancelled special order is as stated on your written quote or invoice.
  • Site readiness. Unless your quote says otherwise, you are responsible for having the work area ready on the scheduled day: clearing furniture, electronics, breakables and personal items from the rooms being floored, disconnecting appliances that must be moved, and securing pets. If the site is not ready and the installers cannot proceed, the installation may need to be rescheduled and additional charges may apply as stated on your quote or invoice.
  • Access and utilities. You agree to provide reasonable access to the property, working electricity and, where required for the product, the temperature and humidity conditions the manufacturer specifies for installation and acclimation.

7. Installation & The Landmark Guarantee

Every floor we sell is installed by the skilled installers we use, and we warranty our labor. That combination is The Landmark Guarantee: warrantied products plus warrantied labor, from one accountable company.

  • Product warranties are provided by the manufacturer of each product, on the manufacturer's terms. We will help you understand what your product warranty covers, but the manufacturer, not Landmark Flooring, is responsible for product warranty claims.
  • Labor warranty. We warranty the installation workmanship performed by our skilled installers. The duration and terms of your labor warranty are provided in writing with your quote or invoice.
  • Exclusions. The labor warranty does not cover damage or defects caused by misuse, abuse or neglect; water or flood damage; moisture, subfloor or structural conditions that were not disclosed to us or could not reasonably be discovered at the time of the estimate; improper cleaning or maintenance; alterations or repairs made by anyone other than Landmark Flooring; settling or movement of the building; or normal wear and tear. Product defects are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, not the labor warranty.
  • Making a claim. Contact us at (775) 297-3236 or sales@landmarkflooringusa.com as soon as you notice a concern. We will inspect the floor and, for covered workmanship issues, repair or correct the installation.
  • Walk-through. We ask you to inspect the completed work with us before the installers leave and to note any concerns at that time.

8. SMS / text-messaging terms

By opting in you agree to these program terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how your mobile information is handled and confirms that it is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Opting in is voluntary

Opt-in is voluntary, and consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase. You can work with Landmark Flooring without ever receiving a text. You may opt in by checking the SMS consent box on a form on our Site, by texting us first, or by giving your written or verbal consent to a Landmark Flooring team member. Customer-care and promotional consent are collected separately.

  • Customer-care messages: replies to your inquiry, estimate and quote follow-ups, appointment confirmations and reminders, installation scheduling, and job status updates.
  • Promotional messages (separate opt-in): sales, seasonal offers and new product announcements.

Message frequency

Customer-care message frequency varies by project. Promotional messages are limited to 4 per month.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Landmark Flooring does not charge for text messages; your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data rates apply according to your plan.

Opting out

Reply STOP to cancel. After you text STOP we will send one confirmation message to let you know you have been unsubscribed, and we will send no further messages from that program. You can rejoin at any time by opting in again.

Reply HELP for help. You can also reach us at (775) 297-3236 or sales@landmarkflooringusa.com.

Supported carriers

AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS and other major U.S. carriers; carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

9. Limitation of liability & disclaimer

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by Nevada law, Landmark Flooring disclaims all warranties regarding the Site, express or implied, including any warranty that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, and any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement with respect to the Site's content.

To the fullest extent permitted by Nevada law, Landmark Flooring will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages — including lost profits, loss of use, or costs of substitute goods or services — arising out of your use of the Site or our services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to a flooring product or installation project is limited to the amount you paid Landmark Flooring for that product or project.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any warranty, right or remedy that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including the written product and labor warranties described in Section 7.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Landmark Flooring, its owners, employees, agents and the installers we use from any claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, information you submit to us that is false or infringes another person's rights, or conditions at your property that you failed to disclose and that you knew or reasonably should have known about.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Site, or our products and services will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Carson City, Nevada, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Before filing any claim, we ask that you contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue directly. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as our business, our services or the law changes. When we do, we will post the revised Terms on this page and update the effective date at the top. Changes apply to Site use and to purchases made after the effective date; a project already covered by a written quote or invoice stays on the terms in effect when that quote or invoice was issued. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
